Masculine Foil card

This is a card I designed for Father's day but it could be made into any kind of Masculine card by replacing the letters spelling DAD with another name or it could be given to Dad for another occasion.

I have used The Little Letters dies for DAD and the large star is die cut from Brushed Silver cardstock. The small star is punched using the little star punch from the Itty Bitty Accents punch pack.
The silver strip is self adhesive Aluminium foil tape ( from the hardware store) adhered to card then run through the Big Shot using the Decorative Dots embossing folder. The setiment was made using the Alphabet Rotary stamp. I have also rounded all the corners for a slightly diferent look using the Corner Rounder punch.

Another Wetlands Card

I have used the Wetlands stamp set a bit lately but I hadn't used the Goose.

I found a card that I liked on the Stampin' Up! demonstrator website designed by Brandy Cox and CAsed it.

This involved sponging three blue shades over Soft Sky card. I like the effect.

This is a great masculine card.

It is always quite challenging to make masculine cards, especially when we have so many pretty stamps and embellishments that we love to use.

However, the men in our lives have birthdays and other occasions that call for a card so here are some pics of masculine cards I have made recently.

Masculine card

 Sometimes we find it more difficult to design masculine cards, probably because we have such a great variety of lovely feminine colours and stamps that attract us to the whole idea of stamping.

I made the frame with the "Designer Frames" embossing folder using heavier weight aluminium foil. You can use the seal from a large can of coffee, milo etc as I did in this case or (as I used for my class) an aluminium oven liner.

My fellow demos gave me great feedback on this one:)

Feeling Sentimental?

I designed this card uysing the SAB reward set "Feeling Sentimental". I used the "Split Negative" technique of Craft white ink on Basic Black card and Stazon Black ink on Whisper White card.

I stamped the banners with the background stamp from "Clockworks" (p105 main catalogue).

I love the colour combo of Lucky Limeade and Basic Black. Makes a good masculine card don't you think?
