More Handbag cards

When my cousin, Lynda visited from England recently, she and I made a coulpe of my handbag cards so she could take some home with her. Sadly we only managed to make 2 as her time was very limited. Lynda, you made a good pupil and you are welcome to join my class anytime:)

Painting with embossing powders technique

It's a bit hard to see in this photo but I have used 3 different coloured embossing powders ( silver, gold and black) on the Pleasant Poppies background stamp. I have accented it with gold foil.

I can't wait to use this technique with the "Lovely as a Tree" stamp set for Christmas.

Wetlands

Don't you just love the  Stampin' Up! "Wetlands" stamp set?
Not having much time before my next class, I scoured the internet and found some great cards made with this set and pretty much CASed these two. The first I found on Juliette Carmichael's web. My only change was the addition of 3 Candy dots.
The second I found on Julie Davidson's blog using the spritzed acrylic block technique. A great way to get the watercolour look without using watercolour paper.

Scalloped Tag Topper card

We all know how versatile the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch is don't we? Just google it for an amazing array of ideas.
This is one I taught recently at my monthly card club class and I really don't know who to acknowledge for the original idea of using the punch this way as so many people have "made it their own".
I used the Watercolour Wonder DSP for the occassions mini for the colour combinations:)

Quilted card

I was looking through my stash of cards I have made over the years and found this one that I had forgotten about. Not sure where I got the idea from as I made it about 5 or so years ago.

Perfect Blend

This is one of those stamp sets I have always liked but didn't get around to buying till just recently. I don't know why I left it so long cos it's really cheap at $22.95 (clear mount).

I had the perfect opportunity to use it recently when a barrista friend of mine who works in my local cafe was leaving to go overseas (he has since changed his mind).

I then used the same design for another friend's birthday (so you see its very versatile).

I got the idea for the design from Cherrie
